We are adhering to the lockdown protocols being implemented from midnight 26 March 2020 and are fortunate enough to be able to continue our work through this lockdown period, where all our staff will be active and working from home and will be readily available via phone and email. Please liaise directly with your Account Executives should you require any assistance from them.
Our claims team will be readily available to assist you with the notification and registration of your claim, however it is important to note that our scope of services that we are able to provide might be limited due to restrictions or limitations from suppliers or third party service providers during the lockdown. Unfortunately, we might experience delays when settling claims however we will communicate with you in each scenario in order to keep you informed throughout the claims process.
Vehicle repairers are working overtime to try and deliver vehicles which are currently being repaired before COB 26 March 2020. Where repairs are incomplete, vehicles will be stored on-site at the repairer for the duration of the lockdown, and repairs will resume once the lockdown has been lifted. We will communicate revised repair timelines once normal business operations resume. It is important to note that all motor body repairers will be closed during this period and will only be allowed to receive vehicles that have been towed in.
If you are involved in an accident during the lockdown period and your vehicle is not driveable, the vehicle will be towed to an insurer-approved towing destination and kept there until an assessor is able to attend to the assessment post lock-down. If following an accident, your vehicle is driveable, we ask that you continue to drive your vehicle if it is safe to do so and if possible, we will arrange a digital assessment and if not, then to be assessed post the lockdown.
Unfortunately, all car hire companies will be closed during this period and no new car hire requests can be arranged until businesses reopen.
Where you have a homeowners or house holders claim on your personal policy or a property damage claim on your commercial policy we ask that you contact our claims department and they will assist as far as possible. As with the motor repairers above, there will be very limited suppliers that are operational during this time. We will endeavour to process your claim as efficiently as possible but we would like to make you aware that we may experience delays, possible shortage in stock or perhaps not have a service provider that is able to attend to the matter during lockdown.
During this time, critical assist services are still available, please be sure to make use of the Econorisk Assist number 0861 23 24 25 for both accident and home assistance where needed. Alternatively, please contact us and we will assist you with your claim.
