Launched in 2014, the Top 35-under-35 South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) award aims to find the best young Chartered Accountant in South Africa.
Jonathan de Vries, Executive Head of Finance at Econorisk, was selected as one of the Top 35 finalists.
SAICA receives hundreds of applications and nominations – nationally and internally, and finalists are narrowed down to 35. These finalists all showcase a remarkable portfolio of significant success, leadership and personal determination. Being nominated as a finalist is an achievement in itself.
Over the last 6 years, Jonathan has grown with our business and has used his skills and knowledge gained in his studies and accounting training to accomplish his dream and help build a better South Africa – by helping create employment, BEE transformation and skills upliftment. He has played a pivotal role in creating and driving Econorisk’s back office (Finance, HR, IT and Compliance) into an efficient and well run “engine” along with some great people.
We would like to congratulate all the other finalists in the Top 35-under-35 SAICA award, as well as Mpho Mookapele, CFO and Acting CEO: Energy and Water SETA, who was announced as the overall winner at the awards evening on 3 October.
