50 Years In Insurance

Celebrating 50 Years of Brian Prissman: A Legacy of Grit, Passion and Performance

At Econorisk, we are incredibly proud to celebrate an extraordinary milestone – Brian Prissman’s 50 years in the insurance industry. It has been a privilege for our business, and for both Andrew Lilley and myself personally, to work alongside Brian and to witness firsthand the energy, commitment and character he brings to everything he does.

Since beginning his career in 1976, Brian has built an impressive and enduring legacy in insurance – and he has done it with unmistakable style, flair and a touch of chutzpah. What started as a chance entry into the industry quickly evolved into a lifelong vocation, one that Brian has approached with relentless drive and determination.

Over five decades, Brian has become synonymous with qualities that define true success in this industry: grit, resilience, professionalism and an unwavering dedication to his clients. He is someone who has never been afraid to roll up his sleeves, take on the competition and make things happen. His belief that “you get out what you put in” is not just a philosophy – it is something he has lived out consistently throughout his career.

Brian’s journey as a broker has been marked by significant milestones, long-standing client relationships, and an ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-evolving industry. From the early days of manual processes and fax machines to today’s highly regulated, technology-driven environment, he has remained relevant, competitive and highly respected.

Beyond his professional achievements, Brian’s personality has always set him apart. He is tenacious, passionate and deeply committed – someone who does things on his own terms and backs it up with results. It is this unique combination of character and capability that has made him such a valued colleague, business partner and friend.

Outside the office, Brian channelled that same determination into his love for running. An accomplished endurance athlete, he has completed six Comrades Marathons – a feat in itself – along with two London Marathons, the Sydney and Mauritius Marathons, among others. His running reflects the same discipline and perseverance that have defined his career. Behind him throughout this journey has been the unwavering support of his wife, Bev, and daughter, Jessica, whose encouragement has played an important role in his achievements.

Andrew Lilley, Joint CEO of Econorisk, captures it well:

“Brian is one of those rare individuals who brings both intensity and authenticity to everything he does. His passion for the industry, his loyalty to his clients and his sheer determination make him a standout professional, and someone we are proud to work with.”

As we celebrate this remarkable 50-year milestone, we recognise not only Brian’s professional success, but the impact he has had on the people and businesses around him. His story is one of commitment, resilience and staying true to who you are – and it continues to inspire.
